This is a comprehensive foundational course, certifying trainees with the Yoga Alliance, to teach worldwide with high professional standards, confidence and a focus on the individual therapeutics.

Typical Daily Schedule

07:30 – 09:30 Yoga class & meditation
09:30 – 10:30 Introduction & basics of today’s module
10:30 – 10:45 Short Break
10:45 – 13:30 Theory, anatomy & physiology & practice
13:30 – 14:30 Lunch
14:30 – 16:00 Ethics, Philosophy & theory
16:00 – 19:00 Practice, coursework, workshop, module revision
19:00 – 20:00 Karma Yoga/homework

Application Price: CHF500 – Swiss francs (non-refundable & payment confirmation must be sent with the application form to be considered for registration)

  • Minimum 1 year of regular yoga classes/practice
  • Good command of the English language
  • Good health – At least 2 hours of asana practice is done a day (please check with your doctor if you are in any doubt regarding your fitness to complete the course)
  • Evaluations of 7 yoga classes prior to the course (further information on registration)
  • Pre-course reading (information sent on registration)
  • Attend EVERY day of the course
  • Practical Exam: Successfully lead a 90 minutes yoga class, safely assisting inversions
  • Written exam: pass mark 80%
  • Course work: to be submitted up to 3 months after the last day of the course
  • (If you do not intend to teach after taking the course you do not have to submit the coursework or pass the practical or written exam)
Indiv Yoga School
  • Once the form has been submitted and the payment received, Indiv Yoga will respond to confirm your place on the course.
  • Once you are eligible, note that acceptance of your application does not confirm your place on the course, only the full payment. Places are given on eligibility and on first paid first served basis.
  • 50% of the fee must be paid on confirmation of your place on the course. Full payment must be made by 2 weeks prior to the course commencing to guarantee you a place.

Refund/cancellation policy
If a student withdraws from the Teacher Training course before the training commences under any circumstances, the CHF500 application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. This amount will increase to CHF1500 for cancellation one month before the course starts.
The totality of your payment will be kept 10 days before the course takes place or may be put toward the next training course. Indiv Yoga™ is not liable to anyone in case the course is postponed or cancelled. If you are making any travel arrangement prior to this confirmation, we would advise you to subscribe to a cancellation insurance as Indiv Yoga™ cannot be responsible to any cost incurred for cancellation of your travel.

Charlie Stewart Brown

Charlie began practicing yoga over 20 years ago and has been teaching for nearly 10 years worldwide to people of all ages and abilities. Originally from London and having worked in New York after her Psychology degree, she has since moved to Switzerland with her husband and dedicated her life to expanding her knowledge of the science of yoga, mindful meditation and better physical and mental health.

Over the years Charlie has worked with some of the most renowned yoga teachers around the world (David Swenson, Shiva Rea, Anne-Marie Newland, Leslie Kaminoff, Sadie Nardini, Sonia Sumar etc) certifying in Hatha, Sivanada, Ashtanga, Childrens and Family Yoga & Yoga for the Special Child. She has become highly respected for her successful work in yoga therapy, especially for Autism, ADHD and other behavioural and developmental disorders.

Charlie holds the highest yoga qualifications as an ERYT500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), RCYT (Registered Children´s Yoga Teacher), RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) and YCEP (Yoga Continued Education Provider) with the Yoga Alliance, and has developed Indiv Yoga™ to bring a more physiological, therapeutic and individual approach to yoga.
