Indiv Yoga™ Switzerland is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance.

Yoga Alliance® is the largest non-profit association representing the international yoga community.

The Indiv Yoga™ RYT-200hrs Teacher Training (in accordance with the high standards of the Yoga Alliance) is an integral course with a therapeutic focus on the individual, and adapting hatha & vinyassa yoga for different bodies and minds.

Maintaining the integrity of the yoga traditions and philosophy, the course explores the science behind our body and mind connection, it’s relation to yoga and meditation in the modern world and adapting yoga for the individual. It is a comprehensive foundational course, certifying trainees with the Yoga Alliance, to teach worldwide with high professional standards, confidence and a focus on the individual therapeutics.

Eligibility criteria

  • Minimum 1 year of regular yoga classes/practice
  • Good command of the English language
  • Good fitness – At least 2 hours of asana practice is done a day (please check with your doctor if you are in any doubt regarding your health to complete the course)
  • Evaluations of 7 yoga classes prior to the course (further information on registration)
  • Pre-course reading (information sent on registration)

Requirements for receiving your diploma

  • Attend EVERY day of the course
  • Practical Exam: Successfully lead a 90 minutes yoga class, safely assisting inversions
  • Written exam: pass mark 80%
  • Course work: to be submitted up to 3 months after the last day of the course
  • (If you do not intend to teach after taking the course you do not have to submit the coursework or pass the practical or written exam)

Charlie Stewart Brown

Charlie began practicing yoga over 20 years ago and has been teaching for nearly 10 years around the world to people of all ages and abilities. Originally from London and having worked in New York after her Psychology degree, she has since dedicated her life in Switzerland to expanding her knowledge of the science of yoga, mindful meditation and better physical and mental health.

Over the years Charlie has worked with some of the most renowned yoga teachers around the world (David Swenson, Shiva Rea, Anne-Marie Newland, Leslie Kaminoff, Sadie Nardini, Sonia Sumar etc) certifying in Hatha, Sivanada, Ashtanga, Childrens and Family Yoga & Yoga for the Special Child. She has become highly respected for her successful work in yoga therapy, especially for Autism, ADHD and other behavioural and developmental disorders.

Charlie holds the highest yoga qualifications as an ERYT500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), RCYT (Registered Children´s Yoga Teacher), RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) and YCEP (Yoga Continued Education Provider) with the Yoga Alliance, and has developed Indiv Yoga™ to bring a more physiological, therapeutic and individual approach to yoga.
